Automobile Injury Victim Must Effectively Communicate With His or Her Doctor

On Behalf of | May 12, 2014 | Personal Injury

Whether a person is injured as a result of a car accident, motorcycle accident, automobile accident, pedestrian accident, a slip and fall, or another manner as a result of the negligence of another, the injury victim must learn to communicate with his or her doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor, dentist, nurse practitioner or other medical provider. The injury victim must effectively and accurately describe his or her symptoms and the loss he/she are experiencing. Failure to communicate accurately and effectively with his/her physician could result in a substantial decrease in the case value. Many times, the injury victim does not accurately describe his/her medical condition to the provider, resulting in ineffective treatment. Further, the negligent individual’s attorney will oftentimes use the injury victim’s ineffective communication with the medical provider to his/her detriment.
