Biography

Kent Barker has been a trial lawyer in New Hampshire since 1985 concentrating in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. A very experienced litigator, Mr. Barker has tried scores of cases before juries in both State and Federal Court. His trial record includes civil jury trials in personal injury cases as well as criminal trials that range from murder indictments to DWI Complaints.

Mr. Barker believes that every person deserves fair and equal treatment by the judicial system. Kent assists his clients through what is often the most difficult time of their life. He uses compassion and understanding to navigate the legal waters of the pain of bodily injury, the stress of divorce, and the fear of a criminal system that can seem overwhelming.

Kent began his career as a county prosecutor in New Hamsphire's busiest superior court. He proceeded to trial in criminal cases in rapid fire succession against many of the state's best criminal defense lawyers. Mr. Barker learned the courtroom skills that have served his clients well for over thirty years.

Since 1988, Mr. Barker has used his experience and energy to represent clients in private practice throughout Southern New Hampshire. Whether bringing a major personal injury claim to trial or defending criminal defendants, Kent brings integrity, honesty, and life experience to represent his client's best interests. He has twice argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He considers his representation of parties in family law cases among his most important successes.

Kent. M. Barker is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 1985. He has served the Nashua community in varied roles, including as board member and volunteer of United Way, Big Brothers and Sisters and as a coach for the city of Nashua Recreational Sports Program in various sports.
